It all begins with an idea. The makings of something great, is that little nagging voice in your head that you can’t shake. How many times have you thought about doing something and then, nothing. But then in the back of your mind, you can’t stop thinking about it. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the idea came to you for a reason. That’s how Skin n’ Tox Aesthetics came to be. It was an idea. An idea that I couldn’t shake. An idea that I knew if I didn’t entertain, I would be always be left wondering.
It didn’t happen overnight, obviously. It takes work, commitment, passion, humility, perseverance and more work. Skin n’ Tox Aesthetics initially began as “Lips by Brooke”. I was somewhat known in the community for doing beautiful lip filler. My plan was to do this Medispa business part-time initially to bring in additional revenue. Well, that part-time side hustle of mine became my full time job. As I quickly grew by word of mouth, I brought on a couple of team members, equipment, a new name “Skin n’ Tox Aesthetics” and became a full fledge Medispa. My small two room practice grew into a 1900 sq. ft new building in less than 2 years. Mind you this was also during the time of shutdowns, businesses closing and the craze of the “Vid”. In less than a year in our new space, I decided it was time to expand once again. My husband and I recently signed a lease on a 5600 sq. ft space, brand new build and are almost tripling our square footage! It’s exciting, crazy and always has me thinking about what’s next.
My dreams of creating and owning a Medispa began with an idea. An idea that now employs 13 people and soon to be much more as we move into our new space Fall of 2022. The beauty of it all is this. We make our dreams a reality. We create the life we want. We decide which chapters we will write. It has and continues to be a wild ride. I know nothing but hard work and I’m always up for a new challenge. The opportunity is waiting for all of us. Will you find it and what will you do with it.
